A 'FROSTYLICIOUS' BIRTHDAY FOR DOMINIC'S LAST YEAR IN K2!

11/16/2016

Dominic is 6!
Every year without fail, we make it a point to celebrate his birthday in school with his friends, complete with cartoon character cakes and goodie bags for him and classmates.  It is usually a one month earlier birthday celebration in school since schools starts closing in November for Holiday, so we have to plan early.  Which means every year Dominic gets to celebrate his birthday at least twice, one in school, another one with us during his actual birthday in December.

This year will be his last year in school.  So I hope to give him another memorable birthday celebration with his friends.

I prefer giving them practical gifts rather than snacks, chocolates or sweets because it makes them falls sick easily.

I asked Dominic what cartoon character cake he wants and he wanted a Transformer cake. Haha!
So I went to look for some transformer cake design on the Internet. After choosing an ideal design, I send it to Frostylicious Cakes for their reference.

As for the flavor, I have chosen a Vanilla with strawberry buttercream cake. Chocolate is a no-no because Dominic is very prone to coughing whenever he takes chocolate, even if it's just abit.

RULER - JAPANESE HAIR SALON IN SINGAPORE

11/11/2016

RuleR Hair Salon is a Japanese Hair Salon. Their Japanese Hairstylists have many years of experience under their belt. Language isn't an issue as the Hairstylist who did my hair, Yoshi, can speaks English, and is able to understand my hair preferences.
*we communicated in English in our email convo too

They have a corner for doing Manicure/Pedicure. A one stop salon for all your beauty needs.

I can't wait for their professional hairstylists to start working on my hair.

Before: Current hair color has faded a lot from the previous dye. Due to multiple touch-up, it becomes uneven in the long run. Hair ends are very dry.
Picture
Yoshi started by asking me what hair color I want this time and showed me their hair color album. I just showed him a picture and told him I wanted to try Ash Color, which required some bleaching, to which I'm fine because I haven't bleached my hair for many years. So I leave it to him, knowing I'm in good hands.

He started off by bleaching some sections of my hair, before dyeing the whole head.

I'm aware that bleaching usually causes dry and damage hair but as mentioned earlier, the last time I bleached my hair was many years ago so I'm ok to bleach some of my hair to get my desired hair color. However, Yoshi could sense that I may not be able to take the big change with my face expression(because the photo I showed him is really ash gray), so he kinda chosen an ash color that is not so vivid. And I actually quite liked the color in the end.

*waiting for the color to set now

Dozed off abit while waiting. After like another 30mins, I had the final wash for my hair.
Yoshi did a really good and comfortable 10 mins head massage for me while washing my hair and doing the treatment.

Was really excited to see the results!
Picture
After: love my new hair color and the way Yoshi did the big curls for me! After a hair treatment, my hair looks moisturised and feels really soft!

To see the changes more clearly, here's a comparison.

😍😍😍😍

I can't believe how different my hair looks when I put the picture side by side. Just look at the before photo, I didn't know my hair looks so dry from behind and color has faded into such an ugly golden shade. Lol.

Thank you RuleR hair salon and Hairstylist Yoshi for making my hair so beautiful today. Thanks for spending like 3 hours on my hair.

Mark Lee is right not to apologise over food cRitics

I am quite appalled with the way HKIA or HK media responds over Mark Lee's comments on their food. In the service industry, I think HKIA should be the one apologising for the bad food served, for eg. - https://m.bayt.com/en/specialties/q/129890/what-is-the-best-way-for-a-restaurant-to-apologize-for-a-mistake-such-as-bad-food-or-service/

Above link shows how a restaurant should apologise for bad food and service, and I couldn't agree more. Not only did HKIA not apologise for serving lousy food, they got the cheek to make such a fuss over Mark Lee's honest critics! LOL! What kind of 狗屁 customer service is that? You get your whole country's media to bash your customer with honest reviews? (Well done, clap for you, 老版娘!! Or the HK media or whatever) You can be sure you are going to be boycotted a lot, based on most comments in favor of Mark Lee.

I am not a particular food person Nor gourmet. But I am Super fussy and particular with service. If this happen to me after a long day, tired and famished, and all I want is to get my stomach filled, I would have been extremely pissed with food with absolutely no standard shoved in my face. And trust me, I'd definitely swear like nobody business. Not going to act like some demure lady. Hello, I paid money for the food, not eat for free! Whatever happens to 'Customer is always right, even if they are wrong'? But in this case Mark Lee is right for being honest. Nothing wrong for telling the truth!

The hongkies are simply too egoistic to admit the food is really bad.

And how is it insulting to say even dogs won't eat the food?? Those who say so, please don't insult the dogs.

Dogs are living things and have taste buds too. And when dogs reject food, bad food could be one of the reason ok? - https://pethelpful.com/dogs/How-to-get-a-finicky-dog-to-eat

You mean a dog have to quietly swallow down food even if it is bad and cannot reject? That could mean mild abuse to some dog lovers hor. I know of people who treat their dogs like royalty, giving them only the best and even throwing them birthday parties.

For service industry businesses, especially F&B, if you cannot serve food that taste good with a certain standard, please jolly well close down your freaking business.
Otherwise just be open enough to accept criticisms, or continue to serve bad food until you close down eventually. Even if Mark Lee didn't make those comments and post his video up, word of mouth will also spread. But yeah, I'll make sure to avoid that particular stall if I'm ever going to HK again. It's hard not to remember since the HK media want to make such a big fuss what. :).
