I am going to tell you something which may surprise you. I had not stepped into a salon for any facial treatment for many years. Yes, years. I do take care of my skin with SKII products though. Being a full time working mother of 2, I never had the luxury of lying down to let someone do facial for me for the longest time because of my busy schedule! But recently I am clearing my AL, and I take this opportunity to try out their services, as well as giving myself a chance to de-stress. So today i'm going to write about my pampering session with Bellezza Aesthetics!

My Experience with Bellezza Aesthetics
*The word 'Bellezza' means Beauty in Italian*

We are known for our custom-blend face treatments.  Every skin is different and we believe that there is no one treatment that suits every individual.  Thus, it is important that your treatment procedures are custom made to suit your skin condition.
Every Bellezza Aesthetics esthetician is trained to provide an accurate diagnostic of the customer.  This is done through our state-of-the art skin analysis scan that can determine your skin age and problem areas.  Based on the diagnosis, our esthetician will map out a treatment procedure to help you achieve your goals. 
Bellezza Aesthetics is unique and innovative in our own way with the re-invention of the traditional massage techniques.  Our talented team has created their own exclusive set of Face-Lift and Destress massage techniques.  This technique is used in all our facial treatments procedures so every of our customer can reap its benefits.


I was punctual for my appointment with Bellezza Aesthetics on 16 Jun, 2pm. Their estheticians greeted me warmly and led me to an enclosed waiting area. The place is beautifully furnished with posh interiors and decorations. And I like the fact that it's tucked away from the hustling Orchard road. This place is located at the Level 4 of Wheelock Place. I thought the place is perfect for facials because you won't step out of a salon after your facial bare-faced, right into the busy crowds!

I was given a form to fill up my particulars and skin conditions. I was also served with some light refreshments such as biscuits and tea.

After filling up the form, I passed it to one of the therapist and she did some skin consultation with me. I was asked what are my skin concerns, and they will decide on the type of treatment for me. I highlighted that my main concern is anti-aging/skin-lifting. Since I don't have any acne problems. So they recommended me to do a Tripolar Facial Treatment (Original Price: $268). For this facial treatment, they will use an equipment to do the 'lifting' effect on my face, combined with traditional massage techniques to optimize the results.

After the skin consultation, they led me to a room where I will be having my facial done. I love the cozy and warm ambience, as well as the friendly and professional staffs. I know i'm definitely in good hands! I quickly changed into the robe and waited for the esthetician to start my session.

The process of my Tripolar Facial Treatment ($268):-

- Relaxation
The esthetician starts off with a quick and light massage and also let me inhaled some aromatic oil to help me relax.

- Removal of Make-up
My Make-up was being gently removed.

- Cleansing
After removing my Make-up thoroughly, the esthetician proceed to cleanse my face.

- Extraction / Eyebrow TrimmIng
After cleansing my face, I have some extraction done for my face. It was over quickly as I don't have much zits to be squeezed. Which I'm thankful because it can be quite painful if you have alot. The esthetician also trimmed my eyebrow to keep it tidy.

- Lifting with Facial Equipment
The esthetician started the lifting procedures with the equipment on the right side of my face, when she's done, she gave me a mirror to let me compare the effects with the left side of my face. Frankly, i didn't see significant differences but without a doubt I can definitely feel it's effect of tightening and lifting. After doing the comparison, she continued to do the left side of my face. I would like to highlight that during this process, the esthetician will exert certain amount of pressure with the equipment on your face, if you feel uncomfortable, you are allowed to request for the esthetician to reduce pressure accordingly based on your own comfort level. You will also feel some heat from the equipment, which is adjustable as well. For me, I'm totally fine with it. I trust that the esthetician know what is best in order to achieve positive results.

- Massaging
After the equipment procedures, the esthetician massaged my eye contour area, face and all the way down to my shoulders. Lavender massage oil is being used. It lasted a full 20 mins, I felt really comfortable and almost fell asleep. I really enjoyed the massage techniques used by the esthetician, I swear this is the best part! No doubt they are all well-trained professionals. I haven't feel so relaxed for a long time! *heavenly*

- Silky Hand Treatment ($88)
Before the esthetician put on my face mask, she gave me a hand massage and do a silky hand treatment mask for me. This is something like a hand paraffin and it contains Placenta collagen.

- Face Mask
After the massage session, the esthetician cleanse away the massage oil thoroughly and proceed to apply ice cold mask on my face. Omg, I simply loved the cooling feel of ice cold mask!! I was left to rest and enjoy the face mask before ending the session.

After my session ends, I changed into my own clothes and they had me seated in the same room when I first reached, again. I was served with light refreshments, again! I loved the yogurt dessert and the tea which smells really nice and aromatic!  I'm allowed to rest for awhile in the small room before leaving the salon.

Here is my 'naked' face right after the facial treatment. Totally no filter, touch-ups or Photoshop, I swear!! I wouldn't say my skin is flawless. I'm usually quite conscious about posting my photo without any make-up but I'm amazed by how radiant and smooth my skin looks(at least to me!) after the treatment! Bellezza Aesthetics gave me confidence to post my photo with zero Make-up.

Below photo is taken the very next day with BeautyPlus App & Instagram filters, obviously! But I have to say my make-up glides on smoothly & perfectly when I apply in the morning. Feeling super vain, I even tried some contouring to make my nose looks sharper, haha.

So now, you have seen my true before & after photos! So you shld trust my honest review on Bellezza Aesthetics. ;) People who knows me personally also knows that I'm someone who is very particular about services and I'm definitely not a 省油灯 if I ever feel short-changed.

Today marked the 8th year of my marriage.  I have lost count with the number of fights we had during the past one year.  But we fought almost every other week, small arguments & huge fights.  I seriously understand if the neighbor hates us.  Lol.  I think it's a tough period for everyone because it was also Chanel's first year.  I guess we are all tired and irritable, it seems that we can explode over the slightest matter.  But I believe all families gone through the same tough times with a newborn.

On the appearance, we looked like a happy & perfect family.  Actually we are a happy family, but what you actually don't see is what's going on behind the closed doors on a daily basis.  What you don't see is the struggles we had with our screaming and inconsolable kid, what you don't see is how we still have to keep up our game when we reached home from work feeling absolutely shagged.  What you don't see is how we flew into an ugly rage to discipline our kid.  What you don't see is how our Saturdays and Sundays are just like Monday to Friday.  To us, everyday is the same.  There is no such thing as Weekend.
Actually what you don't see are what you aren't supposed to see.  You'll never see me posting any of our ugly episodes at home on social media anyways.  I'm just not the kind who post emotional and attention-grabbing statuses online all the time.  (IKR, I only post photos of my children and my selfies, lol) And not like any of my audience would give a real damn. 

So what is being 8 years together like? 
I am an idealist.  And a hopeless one.  I would plan things in my mind in advance and expect it to happen exactly the way I wanted it.  If it didn't, I will become irritable and thinks the whole world owes me an explanation.  For example, even after 8 years of marriage, I would expect my husband to treat me exactly the way when we are still in our courtship 7 years ago.  I know this is a tall order for some man and he's probably one of them(he's a practical man), who would think I'm super 'bo liao' or would even 'LOL' and give me the 'Are you fucking serious' or 'Wake up your idea' kind of stare.  But, this is how an Idealist is (if you have no idea).  And I'm just naming one of the example.  A lot of man stopped doing the things they used to do during the courtship period after being married for many years.
I know setting such expectations can be quite unrealistic and demanding since we have so many on our plate now.  But I just want to live the princess dream, can't I? 

Took half day leave to meet up with Meiting at Bugis Street to do our shopping! Bought many clothings under $20! Damn happy because it's been so long since the last time I was there!

Brought the kids to the pool at my sister in law's condo, it's much quieter there... don't like to be in a pool filled with people....  I set up my mini tripod to take some photos as well.  Finally I get to join in family selfies because I used to be the one who take all their photos..
